Rare antique Japanese Katazome indigo & African off-white mudcloth pillow cover
Antique Japanese Katazome (kiri pattern) indigo & African off-white mudcloth
*Katazome is a Japanese traditional stencil dyeing technique. It uses natural materials like paper, persimmon tannins, rice paste, plants and seaweed.
*These are antique Japanese Katazome indigo that I procure and import directly from Japan. Artisanal textiles from this era are extremely rare and difficult to find in such pristine condition. One of a kind, original patterns for your home.
*Rare geometric kiri (Paulownia) pattern
*Due to the nature of antique/handmade textiles, there may be color variations, spots or small faded water marks.
20 x 20 inches
(Recommended Insert: 22 x 22 inches)
Dry clean only
*Fabric and pillow made by hand so each have a slight variation.
